As we head into another glorious spring here in the Big Bend country, I’d like to remind everyone about all the wonderful museums we have in our area. Many of these museums and communities are planning extra displays and events to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday. I hope everyone takes this opportunity to learn about and celebrate our heritage.
Grant County Historical Society, based in Ephrata and in charge of the Grant County Museum there, is also planning some new and exciting things this year. We are currently looking to fill a couple vacancies on our board of directors. To best represent the whole county, we are specifically looking for people from the Moses Lake and south county areas. We meet the second Tuesday of every month at 11:30 AM at Time Out Pizza in Ephrata.
If you have an interest in our local history and would like to help by either serving on the board or joining one of our committees, please let me know.
Have a great spring!
Don Nutt – Grant County Historical Society president
