It’s almost spring, which means things are starting to bloom on the farm! This is one of our favorite times of year. We love having kids out to see the changes that the seasons bring such as watching the gardens wake up, the animals become more active, and the whole farm buzzing with life again.

Over the years, we have had lots of fun hosting school field trips for the kids of our local community. Each visit is customized to their age/grade level and, when possible, correlated with topics that are being covered in the classroom. The real grand finale is always the hayride! Contact us if your class is interested!
March 24 – Spring Lil’ Sprouts program begins! Designed for kids ages 0-5. Activities are planned, but sometimes the children’s curiosity leads us in a completely new direction, and we love that. This is our child-led, nature exploration group that helps cultivate a deeper connection to our food, this land, and each other.
March 24 – We’re excited to introduce our new program, Farm Friends every Tuesday from 1-4 PM! This program is designed for kids ages 6-14 and gives them the chance to do real farm work, get their hands in the garden, help care for the animals, explore the ponds, and enjoy arts and crafts inspired by the nature surrounding us. Farm Friends was very much inspired by, and built from the heart of, our Lil’ Sprouts program.
Looking ahead to summer – We are extending our Summer Camp hours! Camps will now run from 9 AM to 3 PM, allowing even more time for hands-on learning and farm adventures. These weeks are jam-packed with classic farm fun. By summer, our pond life is in full swing with lots of frogs and dragonflies, the orchards are bursting with fruit, and the gardens are overflowing with a wide variety of fruits and veggies! There’s so much to explore and learn!
Our Summer Lil’ Sprouts program will be combined with our Summer Camps days, creating a lively, shared farm experience for our youngest visitors and their families. Lil’ Sprouts is sponsored by the Columbia Basin Hospital Wellness Foundation allowing equal access to all families in our community.
We’re looking forward to another beautiful season on the farm and can’t wait to welcome both new and returning families out to Cloudview, and sharing all our farm-grown produce when possible! Please see our website for more information on our current youth programs, including dates, pricing, and other events happening on the farm.
